Job Description

About the role
As the Senior Procurement Specialist – Capabilities & SRM, you will be responsible for and lead the optimization of the current supplier on-boarding process, to make it leaner and aligned to industry best practice.
Managing all companywide on boarding of suppliers, you will also support the procurement leadership team to continuously improve procurement processes, policies, procedures, templates and methodologies again leaning on best practice and clear benchmarks to identify areas for improvement.
Another critical task will be to support the procurement leadership team to design, refine and implement a new operating model focused on transforming Group Procurement and driving skills development in its staff. This role will interface with major stakeholders across this transformation to ensure all required support is planned, obtained and coordinated to deliver the departments goals.

About you
You will possess:
Understanding of current thought leading SRM practices and the ways in which to achieve optimal business and supplier benefits. Here we are looking for evidence f deep subject knowledge and practical delivery in the following areas:
Supplier segmentation to support strategic sourcing and operational performance management.
Supplier onboarding, covering capture and validation of critical information to manage risk, support easy tendering, deliver P2P goals and to cover CSR priorities.
Knowledge of supplier onboarding and management tools, approaches and models.
Development of supplier code of conduct which upholds strong corporate governance goals.

Experience of supporting a Procurement leadership team to deliver capabilities in the following areas:
Developing a skills, behaviours and staff performance framework to improve the capability and skills of frontline buyers.
Supporting delivery of new target operating model covering (sizing, roles, functions, JD design, advertising & onboarding) working with Procurement leadership team and HR to deliver desired state.
Acting as project manager and focal point to create a joined up aligned process improvement, analytics, MI, development and recruiting plan to support target model implementation.
Creating a separate distinct annual process improvement plan to delivers maximum impact in year for Group Procurement.
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field such as Business Administration, or project management from an accredited college or university
4+ years of experience in relevant field
Proven record in process improvements with a demonstrable track record of delivering tangible improvements to the businesses you have worked within.
Prince II or equivalent project management qualification and proven experience of using structured project management techniques to design, deliver, monitor and coordinate robust departmental improvement plans.
Understanding and previous use of structured process improvement methodologies (lean, six sigma, Kaizen or similar) delivered in a support department setting.
Proven successes in developing strong relationships with internal stakeholder
Experience in enhancing third party supplier relationship, focusing on the performance of existing suppliers and ensuring overall supplier operations are consistent with agreements.
Experience in the documentation, design and improvement of sourcing processes.
